Four routes back to Haze
Super Lemon Haze is Lemon Skunk × Super Silver Haze, by Green House Seed Co.’s own listing, and Wikipedia and Leafly say the same. Super Silver Haze is itself built from Skunk #1, Haze and Northern Lights #5. Leafly shortens the name to SLH and notes two Cannabis Cup wins.
Purple Haze is Purple Thai × Haze by AllBud’s account, about 85% sativa. Leafly ties its popularity to Jimi Hendrix’s 1967 song.
Ghost Train Haze is Rare Dankness’ cross of Ghost OG and Neville’s Wreck, and the breeder’s notes give Neville’s Wreck as Trainwreck × Neville’s Haze. Amnesia Haze is the hardest to pin down: Soma Seeds calls it a very complicated genetic cross, with Thai, Cambodian and Laotian genetics on one side, and other sources add Jamaican landraces and an Afghani indica. Leafly records two Cannabis Cup firsts for it, in 2004 and 2012.
The label problem, again
Haze strains are sativa-leaning by reputation, and Super Lemon Haze is labeled that way: sativa on most of our listings, hybrid on a few. Purple Haze is the cautionary example. Depending on the brand, it’s sold here as sativa, as hybrid and as indica. The genetics didn’t change. The label did.
